Let’s talk about libraries and books!
I have been a librarian for a long time now, across a lot of different types of libraries. It has been pretty great, with some areas that are not so great. Let’s talk about the impressive work libraries do for their communities, and some ways we can make it better for staff and patrons. Plus: I like to talk about books. Lots of books.
And let’s go outside for small adventures!
Being behind a Reference Desk, or dashing madly all around the building, is a great job. But we are all more than our jobs! I spent a few years researching stress management - and one of the best things? Going outside and walking around. Plus, it’s just fun to see things! I like to walk around outside and listen to audio books, so I’ll suggest a few fun places to try it yourself.
In the summer of 2024 I’ll be driving the Lincoln Highway across the entire country, visiting all the public libraries along the way! Hopefully it will be a great library adventure; probably there will be a few disasters. Either way, you can follow along here.
