I did a quick spot of trudging around the Pacific Ocean coast, and enjoying my brief time in San Francisco. I saw this on the map, and was suitably curious to go check it out.
There are underwater tubes built in the structure, with their ends sticking up in assorted places in the walls and from the floor. When you put your ear next to it, you can hear the music of the ocean! (It mostly sounds like “whoosh” as far as I could tell.) I was there at low tide, but apparently it’s noisier and more interesting at high tide, and maybe also when the moon is full.
This is my favorite thing about traveling: discovering new things! I like interesting inventions and ideas that I’ve never heard of, never thought about. People are always interesting, always doing things that are cool. It’s excellent to see!
Let’s all go forth this week, and follow our crazy dreams to create something new and interesting and cool to explore. We’re here to make the world a better place, and creating some excellence would be a good thing to do.
Combinations of all of this! I have a tent, a hammock, and a list of free spaces, plus a KOA app and membership, and a hotels.com app. That way I can see how far I'm going and make arrangements on the fly. 🙂🏕️ Camping is the preferred way to go! (I have pictures of my hammock, from my rainy week in Georgia a couple of weeks ago! So comfortable!!!)
i forgot - are you camping your way along the highway? sleeping in walmart parking lots in your passenger seat? staying in hiltons?
